A Private London Penthouse

A commission to document the complete transformation of a private London penthouse — from empty shell through to fully realised luxury residence. The scope covered the entire build programme, across every stage from first structural works to final styling and dressing. The brief carried two distinct objectives that had to be served by a single body of work. The first: a definitive client record — a document of the project in its entirety, capturing key decisions made, materials specified, and the pace of change across the full programme. The second: a high-end showcase film, suitable for portfolio use by the wider project team and commissioned as a centrepiece for ISA SpaceNG's own reel. Meeting both objectives with the same material required a disciplined production approach. Shoot dates were scheduled to coincide with significant build milestones — structural completion, first fix, second fix, completion of wet rooms, soft furnishings, and final dress. Each phase was captured with the same visual language: consistent framing ratios, matching focal lengths, and a controlled lighting approach that remained coherent regardless of the build state at the time of capture. In post-production, the grade was developed to serve the completed property rather than the interim build stages — drawing forward the warmth of the finished materials and building a colour palette calibrated to the level of finish ultimately achieved. The editorial structure was built around progression: the film moves from raw space to completed luxury in a sequence that makes the transformation fully legible without narration or on-screen text. The original commissioned score was written to match the pace of the editorial. Neither ambient nor aggressive — deliberate. Music that holds attention long enough for the architecture and craftsmanship to do their own work.
